How We Are Safely Hosting Our Summer Open Day Event.
Each year we annually host open days at The Elms, allowing those who are on the approach of retirement to enjoy a few hours strolling around the elms, seeing the true beauty of our retirement park, and the benefits our award-winning village can offer.
This year, we have seen a change in the regular scheduling of our open days due to the impacts of Covid-19. This didn’t stop our team entirely though as on April 4th, we moved our spring open day online and achieved a very successful virtual open day! You can read all about that here.
For our next summer open day event, we are delighted to announce that we will once again be inviting you to come and visit our park, we will, however, be following strict guidelines following the current UK Government advice.
Measures will be in place to keep visitors, residents, and staff members safe and to respect social distancing. If the guidelines are changed in the meantime, we will revert again to a virtual open day, taking place on our Facebook page.
Our approach at hosting a safe open day
We want to ensure you all that we will be providing a safe and healthy environment for everyone at the park, staff, visitors, and residents included. For us to succeed in doing so we have outlined a list of guidelines for everyone to follow with the upmost precautions.
Please do not visit The Elms if you are in the at-risk category as outlined by the government or if you, or anyone in your household, are currently experiencing any symptoms.
On arrival at The Elms, please first collect a welcome pack including a map showing the empty properties available to view, these will be displayed in the reception entranceway for you to help yourself to. This map will also indicate where the toilet and wash facilities are.
Only empty properties for sale will be open to view.
If you wish to view a property a resident is selling, please contact the relevant estate agent to make suitable arrangements.
When visiting The Elms always please adhere to social distancing measures and maintain a 2-meter distance from any other person or group who are not from your household.
Only one visiting group is permitted in a home at a time – If you arrive at a property and someone is already looking around, you must wait until they have finished and give them the required space to leave the property safely.
Individual water bottles and individually wrapped snacks will be available in the homes, please help yourself and please take all your rubbish with you.
There will also be property literature available in the homes for you to take home with you.
All of our available homes will have been thoroughly cleaned before the open day.
All internal doors have been pinned open, weather permitting external doors will also be pinned open.
There will be no accompanied viewings, visitors will be free to tour the park independently.
We will have a small number of staff who will be identifiable by their name badges available on the day to help guide you and answer any questions you may have, of course, whilst still maintaining the appropriate 2-meter distancing.
These measures will ensure your day is safe as well as enjoyable.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding our open day, please do get in touch today. Alternatively, if you would like to visit our park, you can ook your free park tickets here.
