Glasses were raised this week to our office super-star, who has just scooped a top national performance award.
Sarah Wilburn, our accounts administrator at The Elms retirement park, won the award for her outstanding contribution to the business’s success. Since starting work as a 25-year-old junior on the park nine years ago, Sarah has risen to become a key player in writing The Elms’ success story. Not only does she take care of behind-the-scenes admin, but is also a familiar face to our residents of the park’s 300 retirement homes when they need a helping hand.
Her efforts have gained Sarah an Exceptional Service Award from BH&HPA, the official body representing Britain’s 3000-plus residential and holiday parks. It is the highest honour given out by the organisation to individuals who have been shown to make “significant and substantial” contributions to park businesses.
Sarah’s personal commitment and infectious enthusiasm for getting things done has made her an invaluable asset to the park. Sarah is wholly deserving of the top honour given each year to just a small handful of the park industry’s tens of thousands of employees. Running a residential park is almost the same as running a small town, and Sarah understands just about every aspect of how to ensure everything goes smoothly. She’s also a firm favourite with our residents who know that she can be relied upon to give any assistance necessary to help them enjoy their lives here.
Residents can also rely on Sarah when birthdays, anniversaries and other celebrations are due, for one of her favourite hobbies is hand-making greetings cards which are sold on the park.
Well done Sarah x
